The prestigious "Forever In Operations" division of the Indian Army's Integrated HQ has chosen Mumbai Amateur Radio Institution (VU2BPA) to operate from a height of above 13,600 ft.

We will operate using a special event callsign AT25KVD issued by WPC, GOI. This event aims to create communication links with other amateur radio stations across the globe about the anniversary.
History
Kargil Vijay Diwas, observed on July 26th annually, commemorates India's victory in the Kargil War of 1999 against Pakistan. The conflict, which took place in the Kargil district of Ladakh and elsewhere along the Line of Control (LOC), is remembered for the valor and bravery of the Indian Armed Forces, who recaptured mountain heights that Pakistani intruders had occupied. The day honors the soldiers martyred in the war and celebrates the triumph of India's military.
